It was a "win some, lose some" 2025 for home improvement in Indonesia, as some retailers saw sales rise while others reported slight losses during the year. But even as they looked back on their performance in the year that passed, they also sounded the alarm for the current one, as they noted escalating geopolitical unrest across the Middle East and subsequent economic impacts, which are going to put pressure on their own operations.

"Geopolitical tensions in the Middle East escalated following military actions in the region at the end of February 2026. These developments have resulted in heightened geopolitical uncertainty and increased volatility in global financial and energy markets," PT Catur Sentosa Adiprana (CSAP), operator of Mitra10 and the country’s biggest home improvement retailer in terms of revenues, noted.
