The organisers of the International Action Goods and Import Fair (IAW) report a "strong booking situation – despite the difficult market environment" for the 40th edition of the trade fair from 24 to 26 March 2026. The IAW regularly brings together more than 5,000 visitors and almost 300 exhibitors from the international trade sector, the organisers continue. Visitors will find a platform for their product ranges, including gardening and DIY items, in the Cologne exhibition halls, which cover 30,000 m2.
The current market situation is characterised by cost increases, consumer restraint and intense competition, the organisers continued. They are convinced that, especially in times like these, trade fairs such as the IAW open up new economic perspectives for visitors and exhibitors.
The E-Commerce Arena has been an integral part of the programme for many years and will be planned and moderated for the first time this year by e-commerce expert Michael Frontzek. The specialist presentations will deal with topics relating to marketplace strategies, online marketing, logistics and other areas of online retail. The E-Commerce Quarter is moving to a new location in Hall 6 and will bring together specialist service providers – from shop systems to fulfilment – to facilitate the transfer of knowledge between analogue and digital retail.
Registration for exhibitors is open until 20 January 2026 with an early bird discount, and visitors can register free of charge on the IAW website in the ticket shop.
