"We should not define the home improvement industry as a 'man's world'." This is what Jim Inglis, former top manager at the world market leader The Home Depot and now an internationally active consultant, writes. He responded with a detailed statement to a request from the German trade magazine diy-Fachmagazin. The editorial team dedicated the March issue to the topic "Women in the DIY industry".

The most prominent woman in the German industry is Susanne Jäger, who has been on the Hornbach board for 16 years. In an extensive interview that the diy editorial team was able to conduct with her, she made it clear how important the topic in general and the promotion of diversity in leadership positions is to her: "The best brains are not always male," she said.

The entire March issue of the diy trade magazine is available at www. diyonline.de  (in German). Read the article by Jim Inglis and the interview with Susanne Jäger here.
