In 2021, the strongest growth for French home improvement retailer Mr Bricolage came from its home market of France.

French home improvement retailer Mr Bricolage has increased its sales by 7.8 per cent to EUR 2.367 bn in 2021. Adjusted for changes in floor space, sales growth amounts to 6.1 per cent, as the franchise group writes in a press release. Sales in France were stronger than the foreign business. In the home country, sales increased by 8.4 per cent (like-for-like 7.1 per cent) to EUR 2.054 bn in 2021. In the ten other countries where the retailer operates 72 stores, sales increased by 3.9 per cent (like-for-like: 0.7 per cent) to EUR 306.1 mio. Online sales increased by 47.5 per cent to EUR 6.8 mio in 2021.

According to the company, it aims to exceed its self-imposed target of 1 000 sales outlets by 2028, ready for the end of 2025. As of 31 December 2021, Mr Bricolage's network of members and subsidiaries comprised 908 shops worldwide. The year before, there were 854. In France, 836 shops were operating at the end of 2021, compared to 783 on 31 December 2020.
