Successful third quarter

Canadian Tire announces sales in the retail segment up by 3.9 per cent to CDN $ 1.62 bn (€ 1.045 bn) for the third quarter. Comparable store sales growth over the previous year’s results amounted to 1.2 per cent. Net earnings grew by 17.2 per cent to CDN $ 69.4 mio (€ 44.75 mio). The company attributes this positive development to advertising campaigns as well as growth in the categories of tools, automobile care and accessories, along with pool supplies and garden furniture in the garden segment.
