Successful start

The first Ifex (International Flower Expo) opened for business in Tokyo from 14 to 16 October. A total of 313 exhibitors, 74 of them from abroad (19 countries), were represented at the international plant and gardening trade fair in Japan. European visitors came from Belgium, France, Britain, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands. There was a tremendous throng of visitors at this initial event, with 20 388 trade visitors registering during the three days of the fair. 504 visitors travelled to Tokyo from abroad (39 countries). Next year’s Ifex will again be staged at the Big Sight in Tokyo from 20 to 22 October.
