Sears expands the sale of electrical appliances

04.11.2004

The range is now to be found in the first outlets of the company’s subsidiary, Orchard Supply Hardware

The US retail group Sears has now introduced electrical appliances for the home to the product mix carried by its trading brand, Orchard Supply Hardware (OSH). Selling has now commenced in the first four OSH stores. “Sales of household appliances in our Sears Hardware Stores have exceeded expectations, and making household appliances available through our OSH format is a natural extension of the process,” senior vice president Beryl Buley explains in her comments on the move. The core range with its emphasis on hardware, tools, electrical, housewares, plumbing, paint and garden is to remain untouched. Christmas lines will now be added to the assortment, as well as a expanded range of toys and giftware.
