Kesko counts on continuing growth

The Finnish trading group Kesko expects above-average sales figures for its building materials division, Rautakesko, throughout the entire year 2004. It is basing this expectation on estimates which suggest the house building sector will expand by four per cent this year. The group’s most recent interim report says that the building materials market is growing on the same scale in Finland and Sweden. The construction industry in the Baltic states is also expected to see a six to eight per cent increase in activity.
