Sears Hardware stores to sell electrical appliances

The American retail group Sears has added electrical appliance departments to 28 of its Sears Hardware outlets. Permanent displays of garden furniture and grills have also been introduced into the stores, along with new hardware ranges for DIYers. The lawn and garden, paint and tools segments will remain as the core ranges. More than 160 stores operate under the “Sears Hardware” logo. Sears also operates a further 82 “Orchard Supply Hardware” stores in California. The group launched the Sears Appliances and Hardware concept in March 2003.
