The UK National Lighting Company now has 78 per cent of Brilliant shares

The British group, National Lighting Company, is now the majority shareholder in Brilliant AG of Gnarrenburg, Germany. It has acquired the block of shares sold by the SLI group of the United States on 24 September, so that it now has a 78 per cent stake in the capital of the Germany lighting supplier. The SLI group had bought into the company as a major shareholder in the year 2000. The National Lighting Company includes Poole Lighting, which is described in an ad hoc announcement as one of the leading companies in the UK’s lighting market. What is more, the result of this transaction will be the creation of one of the largest suppliers in the consumer lighting sector in Europe.
