Increase of almost ten per cent

The hardware and builders’ merchant companies of the Finnish Kesko group, which together form the so-called K-Alliance , notched up sales of € 137.0 mio in August. That is 9.9 per cent higher than the same month last year. Gross sales over the first eight months of the current year added up to € 946.6 mio, which provided an increase of 17.3 per cent. The highest growth rates were achieved by the Lithuanian subsidiary Senukai at 21.4 per cent in August and 65.8 per cent from January to August. The stores belonging to the K-rauta and Rautia retail formats in Finland, with sales of € 632.3 mio at the end of eight months, were 9.0 per cent above last year’s figure.
