Change at the top at Kesko

The Finnish trading group Kesko is getting a new leadership. Matti Halmesmäki is to become managing director of the Kesko Corporation, as well as president and chief executive officer of the Kesko Group, on 1 March 2005. Born in 1952, he is currently head of the group’s two subsidiaries, Rautakesko and Kesko Agro. He has been with Kesko since 1980 and will be succeeding Matti Honkala, who has headed the company since 2001.
