“Clear increase in exhibitor numbers”

Around 1 210 companies from 50 countries will be represented at Gafa with their products and services. “We have achieved a clear increase in the number of exhibitors compared with last year,” is how Oliver P. Kuhrt, executive vice president of Koelnmesse, sums up the intermediate situation. One year ago the number of exhibitors had dropped to 1 051. The gross space occupied by the show from 5 to 7 September will amount to 131 300 m². Taken in conjunction with the Spoga fair, the total will come to 265 500 m², which means all the halls on the Cologne exhibition site will be fully occupied. Around 70 per cent of the exhibitors and half of the visitors will be coming from outside Germany.
