High growth rates predicted in USA

The American Home Improvement Research Institute (HIRI) expects the DIY market in the USA to attain a volume of US $ 313.5 bn (€ 260.1 bn) by 2008. The Institute has revised its forecast for this year upwards compared with its assessment of November 2003, and is now predicting a market volume of US $ 262.7 bn (€ 217.9 bn). This would represent an increase of 9.9 per cent over last year.
