Clear growth rates for Vendex

The DIY division of the Netherlands Vendex group has seen considerable growth in the first quarter of the current financial year (to 30 April 2004). According to information released by the company, net sales increased to a total of € 321 mio, which amounts to a 9.6 per cent rise over the same period last year. At that time the six Leroy Merlin stores acquired by Vendex in July 2003 were not yet part of the group.
