The paintbrush and roller handles are manufactured from 65 per cent cornstarch and in landfill conditions will biodegrade over a significantly shorter period than plastic. The paintbrush head is 30 per cent biodegradable but maintains the high quality and smooth finish you would expect from a Harris brush. The roller tray is 100 per cent recycled and the sleeve is made from recycled soft drinks bottles. This is composed of six layers, two consisting of polyester reinforcement and four of different types of PVC. The hose, which has been patented by the company, features double polyester reinforcement that combines the positive features of two different technologies, the knitted and braided systems. As the manufacturer explains, knitted reinforcement means flexibility and anti-torsion, while braided reinforcement means strength and high resistance to pressure (up to 45 bar for a ½” hose).
