Next year’s Practical World, which is the new name for the Cologne International Hardware Fair/DIY’TEC, is due to begin one day earlier with an international congress at the invitation of the Köln-Messe fair organisers. International partners collaborating in the event are EDRA (European DIY Retail Association) and Fediyma (Federation of European DIY Manufacturers). The congress is linked to the BHB’s traditional international meeting on the first day of the fair: the concept of this get-together for the sector is being expanded and brought one day forward, when it will now be open to everyone attending the fair. Awaiting participants at the event will be a mixture of round-table discussions, short statements and interactive forums, all taking as their subject the development of the international DIY industry.
