The most recent innovation is the Nertech hammer handle composed of three materials (fibre glass, polypropylene and elastomer), which has proved extremely successful according to reports from company headquarters at Le Chambon Feugerolles.
MOB operates two logistics centres, one in France and one in Germany. The group’s sales in 1998 amounted to FRF 170 Mio, 60 Mio of which was achieved abroad. The company has received several awards for export achievements from Outilex, the French association of tool manufacturers. West Africa and southern Europe in particular were growth markets in 1998.
In December 1998 another phase of growth began for MOB with its acquisition of the majority shareholding in the Rumanian IUS company which principally manufactures wrenches, pliers, toolboxes and workshop equipment. The ISO 9001-certified company is the leading tool manufacturer in Rumania and a major player in eastern Europe, according to MOB.
