From 8 to 11 May, 5 000 trade buyers visited the first edition of the Spanish DIY trade show, Eurobrico, which was held jointly with the paint show Delcolor in Valencia. The international visitors came from 30 different countries and included trade buyers from Portugal, France and Italy, who accounted for over half of the foreign trade contingent.
Altogether 175 companies displayed their products at Eurobrico, 125 of them as direct exhibitors. They occupied a gross exhibition space of 10 000 m2. The fair was divided into five distinct sections: home improvement, decoration, outdoor DIY, kitchens and bathrooms, and hardware as well. Exhibitors from the furniture sector were particularly well represented.
Over 70 per cent of exhibitors intend to come back again next year.
On the exhibitor side, the fair organisers let it be known that all the leading names in the Spanish DIY industry took part, as well as a good representation of foreign exhibitors. Companies from Portugal, Italy, France, Holland and Germany in particular presented their range of products there. “Our initial forecasts were far too modest and this first edition of the fair has been a complete success. All the exhibitors we have spoken to have expressed their satisfaction with the results,” said Daniel Marco, director of Eurobrico.
