Leroy Merlin España made sales to the amount of EUR 2.653 bn in the year 2019. That is a growth of 24.6 per cent, however this high figure can be explained by the merger with the affiliate sales channel Akí from the Adeo group. The company has increased its online sales by 26.8 per cent to EUR 59.9 mio. After eight new openings during the year, the number of locations rose to 132. In addition, 17 Akí stores were converted to Leroy Merlin's new compact format. This year, a further two large-scale Leroy Merlin stores are to be opened.

When presenting the figures in Madrid, chief executive officer Ignacio Sánchez emphasised the significance of the investments. Overall, the company has invested around EUR 160 mio. Of this amount, EUR 69.5 mio was attributed to the conversion of existing stores and the opening of new ones. According to Sánchez, a further EUR 51.5 mio flowed into digital transformation and the supply chain.
