The Moroccan DIY store chain Bricoma has opened a new store in the city of Nador. The company, which is wholly Moroccan-owned, regards the new store as contributing to the official structural and economic policy of King Mohammed VI, who wishes to promote regional development. It also forms part of Bricoma's strategy for expansion into different areas of the country. The Mediterranean city of Nador is in the Rif region in the east of Morocco. Bricoma currently operates in 16 cities, primarily on the Atlantic coast in the west of the country.
The new store is located in a retail park and has a retail area of around 2 000 m², bringing the overall retail space of the DIY chain to roughly 46 000 m². Bricoma has invested around MAD 20 mio (approx. € 1.8 mio) in the store in Nador.
