Small celebration in Paris: the "Round table of the DIY industry" ("La table ronde Bricolage"), which is famous in the French industry, took place for the 10th time. The conference is organised by the trade French journal Bricomag. Its influential personality is their founder and chief editor Marie-José Nicol.
She cut the birthday cake together with Reinhard Wolf, the managing partner of Wolfkraft and chairman of the European association of manufacturers, Fediyma, who had travelled from Germany. And also from our side as DIY International: joyeux anniversaire!
One of the main points the participants - 33 were registered - discussed focused on the transformation of the industry in connection with e-commerce, which is also booming in France, and local supplier formats, with which the stationary trade is seeking closer proximity to the customer. But as in previous years, participants also exchanged thoughts on the relationship between manufacturers and retailers.
