R+T trade fairs get another offshoot in Southeast Asia

The R+T trade fair, the world's leading trade fair for roller shutters, doors and sun protection, is getting another offshoot in Southeast Asia. R+T South-East Asia will take place for the first time from 11 to 13 November 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand, as part of Future Build Asia and parallel to Domotex South East Asia. It is now the seventh event in the R+T Alliance portfolio. The German organiser Messe Stuttgart is behind this trade fair association for the sun protection and door and gate industry. Until now, these have been the R+T trade fairs in Stuttgart, R+T Asia in Shanghai, R+T Turkey in Istanbul, APAExpo by R+T in Valencia, Sun Shading Expo North America in Orlando and Outdoor.Ambiente.Living., also in Stuttgart.

With R+T South-East Asia, the R+T Alliance is tapping into one of the most dynamic growth markets in the industry, according to the organiser. Thailand is the second-largest market for the construction industry in the ASEAN region, with an average annual growth rate of around five to six per cent. According to Messe Stuttgart, key factors for growth are the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), smart city initiatives and the Thai government's BCG (Bio-Circular-Green) economic model.

According to forecasts, the ASEAN region will require annual infrastructure investments of over USD 500 billion by 2030. The region also has a project pipeline worth around USD 2.9 trillion. This, it continues, is creating strong demand for sustainable building materials, renewable energy systems and smart infrastructure solutions.
