Spanish suppliers' DIY business shows a slight uptick

Spanish manufacturers in the DIY and hardware segment who are members of the industry association Afeb closed 2023 with a 2.28 per cent drop in turnover. Supplying the DIY store sales channel delivered a more positive result, with companies here generating 0.41 per cent more turnover. There were also slight gains in traditional retail (+0.45 per cent) and in direct sales to professional sales channels (-1.35 per cent). In contrast, sales to online retailers fell by 14.41 per cent and to generalists by 12.92 per cent. In the export business, there was a drop of 4.00 per cent.
