Under the motto "Back to the roots", Edra/Ghin held a study tour in the USA this week. Participants were 54 CEOs as well as board and management members of home improvement retail companies from all over the world. The top-class group took a day and a half to visit the world market leader Home Depot in Atlanta alone. It had been co-prepared by Jim Inglis, former top manager at Home Depot and now a global consultant. The tour was led by John Herbert, general secretary of the trade association. "What we experienced here in Atlanta was the most enthusiastic and motivated associates dedicated to the orange blood culture," Edra/Ghin commented on the start of the tour in a post on LinkedIn.

The programme also included visits to Lowe's and Floor & Decor stores. In addition, some smaller concepts in the greater Atlanta area were visited, including a garden centre and stores of Tractor Supply and Harbor Freight.
