Second store in Bulgaria

The last week of June saw the opening of Praktiker's second DIY store in Bulgaria. The branch is located in Plovdiv, which is the country's second-largest city with a population of 350 000. It is situated approximately 125 km south-east of the capital of Sofia, where the German DIY retailer brought its first Bulgarian outlet into operation in September 2004. The Praktiker store in Plovdiv has a retail area of 5 500 m² and offers a good 50 000 articles in its range. It employs a staff of about 100.
