Severe winter in Germany

The German DIY stores felt the full impact of the long winter in their garden ranges. According to information from the BHB, sales of gardening products were as much as ten per cent below last year's level up to the end of March. Most severely affected was the category of live plants/seeds, which recorded sales down by almost 20 per cent.
