Manfred Maus, founder of Obi and current chairman of the supervisory board, hands over his position to Karl-Erivan W. Haub, joint owner and chairman of the managing board of the Tengelmann group of companies. “It is now four years since I took action to initiate a generational change in the management of Obi through moving across to the supervisory board. Today I know that the company is in the capable hands of a young and committed managing team. So I am happy that now, at the age of almost 70, I have more time for my various other interests,” declared Manfred Maus in explanation of his decision to retire from Obi.
The following changes are being made to the composition of the supervisory board: Bernhard Wirtz, a long-standing member of the governing body, is handing his mandate over to Achim Breidenstein. Both are representatives of the associate group Lueg. The other members have had their mandates renewed.
