This is made possible by the fact that the assortment of wrenches and spanners and sockets and accessories is available in a no-frills version and is also limited to the most popular sizes. Both sockets and accessories, including reversible ratchet and extension handles, are made from vanadium extra with a matt chrome finish. The new range is packaged for self-service retailing.

Three in one
“Clamp n Cut” is a woodworking tool from Gatorclamps that can function as a clamp, a straight edge and a saw guide, all in one. The clamp is manufactured from aluminium, which makes it easy to handle. When used as a straight edge or saw guide, an integral clamping mechanism ensures that no additional C-clamps are needed. The guide in its normal position has 90 degree jaw pads, but there is also an option to swivel the heads, making it possible to lock and cut on different angles.

For parquet and laminate
PLP 7/17 from Repac is a two-component, screw-together system of profiles complete with transition, compensation and border profiles. It is possible to compensate for variations between different flooring thicknesses of between 7 and 17 mm, and between flooring levels varying from 0 to 17 mm. The profiles are available in a silver, gold, bronze or sand finish. A patented procedure is used to hot-transfer the currently popular wood-effect patterns (maple, beech, oak, cherry or merbau) onto powder mould coatings and patterned foils.

Fun and functional
The new tile and shower glass squeegee from Ettore has a no-slip grip for ease of use, and the blade cleans surfaces fast and streak-free. The first model is a rubber duck, which is to be followed by a dolphin. With a few quick swipes after every shower, the squeegee prevents the buildup of soap residue and water spots on glass shower doors and walls, tiles, marble and mirrors. The product is eye-catching and prepacked for self-service selling.

Panelling tacker
Novus is launching its Novus J-118-C, a new electric tacker for fastening panels. The narrow, protruding nose allows it to be used in tight corners and grooves, and makes it easy to work close to the edges of sheet material. It is possible to fasten mouldings directly to the cheek of a groove; in addition, panels can be installed with assembly or spacer clips. The tacker can be used with C staples of different sizes between 12 and 18 mm.

The new laser distance meter DLE 150 Connect from Bosch will faultlessly transmit by radio up to a distance of ten metres to a pocket-PC, laptop or PXC with Bluetooth technology. The device makes the job simpler for contractors and others who previously worked with metre rules or some other type of distance measuring instrument, then entered the results into the computer by hand. The data transmission software included in the package edits the measurements so that they can be entered directly into Excel tables, as just one example.

Wayne-Dalton has expanded its range of residential sectional garage doors by two pre-assembled and motorised models that are available in standard sizes. The Wayne-Dalton Atlantic is a new model in white PVC, and the Wayne-Dalton Classic is made from multi-layered Okoumé plywood, which can be stained after installation. Both doors have a fine woodgrain embossing finish. They come pre-installed in a steel frame and ready to be fitted.
