Record attendance at Ferroforma

The organisers of this year’s Ferroforma, which took place between 23 and 26 September, registered 24 133 visitors, which is 13 per cent more than in the year 2002. This means that the event succeeded in beating all previous records. It is the biggest fair of its kind in Spain and the second largest in Europe. The foreign attendance figure rose by 20.6 per cent to 1 595, with trade visitors arriving in Bilbao from 73 different countries. The organisers put a figure of 1 363 on the number of exhibiting companies, which is yet another record. There were 716 exhibitors from abroad, or 19 per cent more than in 2002. For the first time the suppliers of DIY products had a segment of their own within Bricoforma.
