Preferably from a DIY store

Austrian consumers prefer to buy their garden and patio furniture from DIY stores. This fact emerges from a public opinion poll carried out by management consultants Markant. Here 42 per cent of those questioned named a DIY store as their preferred shopping venue, and 26 per cent a furniture specialist. Garden centres come a poor third at ten per cent. More than 70 per cent of Austrians actually own garden or patio furniture. This proportion is increasing as households grow in size and incomes rise.
