Not a successful garden year in France

16.07.2004

The green sector did not even manage growth of half a percentage point in 2003

Last year the French garden market experienced growth of just 0.3 per cent for a total of € 5.649 bn. The latest figures from the trade association Promojardin reveal that cumulative growth over the past five years came to 18 per cent. According to the association’s assessment, adverse weather conditions including a dismal spring and a heat wave over the summer, were responsible for this poor market development.
Our magazine DIY in Europe will be reporting in detail on the French market in its special Gafa issue that is due out in September.
