In Austria, DIY stores increased their sales in the first half of the year 2019 by 5.0 per cent to EUR 1.37 bn. Like-for-like sales rose by 3.8 per cent, reports the German industry association BHB.
The strongest growth was gained in the product ranges technology/office/entertainment (+11.9 per cent), leisure/seasonal goods (+11.1 per cent) and construction elements (+10.4 per cent). There were only declines in the assortments other (-3.8 per cent) and electrical (-0.2 per cent).
