H&M manager Mattias Ankarberg is the new Byggmax CEO

The new CEO of Byggmax, the Swedish chain of DIY stores, will be Mattias Ankarberg. He will assume the position on 14 November 2016. Mattias Ankarberg has, for the last seven years, worked for the fashion chain H&M, most recently as global head of sales and marketing. He has broad retail experience, including international expansion, e-commerce and realizing new ideas, according to a Byggmax press release. He has previously worked for McKinsey & Company in Sweden and the USA as an advisor on similar topics.
Ankarberg succeeds Magnus Agervald, who has been CEO of Byggmax since 2008 and who will be CEO of the investment company Ratos as from January.
