The third edition of Expo DIY 2024 - Smart Green Home - will take place on 26 and 27 June 2024, at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest. According to the organisers, it is the largest professional fair in Romania and in the region which is dedicated to products in the DIY, construction materials, home improvement, garden and home products categories, with a focus on "green" solutions and products. The event is organised by bricoretail.ro, an information and publication service for the Romanian home improvement industry. Expo DIY 2024 will cover 4 000 m² and host 140 booths.
At the fair, manufacturers from Romania and other countries will present their products to professional byers in the retail, e-commerce and distribution of construction materials industry, interior design, installations, DIY, garden, etc., especially with a view to the 2025 season.
At last year's edition of Expo DIY - Smart Green Home, 30 per cent of the exhibitors came from abroad and this year the proportion will be at least the same, the organisers expect. Beside companies from Romania, several companies from Poland, Italy, France, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Ukraine have already confirmed their presence as exhibitors.
The organisers emphasise two elements differentiating Expo DIY - Smart Green Home from the other exhibitions in Romania: the B2B character - a closed business event attended only by professionals from DIY, home improvement and the garden industry, and B2B meetings, enabled by the technology platform, which schedules meetings between visitors and exhibitors during the two days of the exhibition.
"During the two days of the exhibition, we estimate a number in the region of over 500 buyers, category managers from retail and e-commerce, purchasing directors from distribution companies, but also managers and owners from construction companies, real estate developers, architects and designers," Claudiu Ciobanu, managing editor of bricoretail.ro, says. "It is important that in addition to presenting such products and solutions, the role of our exhibition is also to inform and educate industry decision-makers about the importance of environmental protection and the adoption of sustainable practices in the construction and design of houses."
