Equistone sells Oase to American financial investor

Oase offers products including pond technology with a range for hobbyists to professionals.

The German water garden specialist Oase has got a new majority owner. The previous owner, the investment company Equistone, sold its majority stake to the US private equity house Argand Partners. The Oase management will continue to have a minority share.

Equistone had taken over its share of the Oase group in June 2011. At that time, Oase made annual sales of around € 100 mio. Sales of around € 150 mio are reported for 2017. Oase operates production sites in Germany, Italy, Great Britain, the Netherlands and China. The group employs around 750 staff.
