Christmas music stresses shoppers out – so Clas Ohlson is playing its own album

No more Silent Night: Christmas music in stores causes stress for customers and employees alike. Swedish retail chain Clas Ohlson has heeded the warning issued by the Swedish commercial employees' union and the results of a survey conducted by Inizio indicating that 47 per cent of shoppers find Christmas music in stores to be stressful.  The retailer's remedy is to play different Christmas music. It has released an album entitled "Christmas Songs (Mindfulness Edition)", with the caption: "Our most intense Christmas songs. Now completely stress-free."
Apart from stress-free titles such as Jingle Bells, We wish you a Merry Christmas and Winter Wonderland, the album features adaptations of traditional Swedish, Finnish and Norwegian Christmas songs. It is available in full on Clas Ohlson's YouTube channel to get everyone in the festive spirit.
