The British Wickes chain had a sales decline of 2.5 per cent to record in 2018. On a like-for-like basis, sales dropped by 4.4 per cent. The entire Segment Consumer, to which Toolstation also belongs in the Travis Perkins Group, increased its sales by 0.9 per cent to GBP 1.604 bn. This is because Toolstation sales grew by 18 per cent, like-for-like by 11.4 per cent.

The Travis Perkins Group has given itself a new structure with the aim of simplification. In future Wickes will form the retail segment together with Tile Giant. Toolstation will be conducted as separate segment. The two further segments are merchanting as well as plumbing & heating.
