Some retailers are now developing small-format showroom concepts for the Russian market. Market leader Leroy Merlin has been testing its "Leroy Merlin Kvartira" format in a Moscow suburb since the spring. In a 125 m² pavilion the company is presenting complete design solutions that are geared to the region's construction conditions and are available to order.
Rival company Petrovich has opted for a form of mobile sales office, three of which have already been deployed in the Greater Moscow area. This is a type of pop-up store from 30 to 50 m² in size in housing development areas. No goods are stocked here, but customers can seek advice and order products and services from the company.
The trade journal DIY International will report in detail on the development of the Russian home improvement market in its forthcoming 3/2018 issue.
