Obi opens its first store in Kazakhstan

The first Obi store in Kazakhstan is now open in the city of Almaty.

The first Obi store in Kazakhstan is now open in the city of Almaty. The official opening, which was also attended by the Mayor of Almaty, Baurzhan Baibek, took place on 29 August. The company reported on this event on Facebook. The next day, the store was open for customers. The store has a retail space of 10 500 m², reports the portal Kazakh Invest. According to Obi, more than 45 000 articles are offered. The location also features a garden centre.

Asadel Retail is the operator and franchisee. The company has announced five additional locations in the capital city Astana, the second largest city in the country, as well as in Shymkent, Karaganda and Aktobe.
