No International Hardware Fair Cologne in 2021

The International Hardware Fair 2021 has been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. Having already postponed the show from March 2020 to the new dates of 21-24 February 2021, organiser Koelnmesse took the decision following talks with the relevant associations and exhibitors.
The current dynamic spread of the infection along with international travel restrictions meant that the majority of exhibitors ultimately opted not to take part in the fair, stated Koelnmesse. Even the extensive hygiene and safety concept #B-SAFE4business for ensuring trade shows are staged in conformity with Covid-19 regulations was not sufficient to give fair participants greater confidence in their show planning.
The next International Hardware Fair in Cologne is now expected to take place a year later, from 6 to 9 March 2022. Exhibitors and visitors will then experience not only the new hybrid fair format intended to extend the international spread even further, but also an attractive programme of events. These include informative special presentations and themed platforms such as the eCommerce area, which offers a variety of innovative solutions and strategies for retailers covering the areas of payment, shop systems, ERP, hosting, search engine optimisation and multichannel, according to Koelnmesse.
