New special exhibition areas for garden furniture and IVG Power Place Green

“Something is happening at the Spoga+Gafa,” Katharina C. Hamma said at a press conference.

For the first time at the upcoming Spoga+Gafa there will be an internationally curated trend show for the garden furniture segment with several product islands. The curators are industry experts from the fields of design, trade, colleges and trend research. The trend islands won't only be available to view at the Spoga+Gafa, but also at the following international furniture trade fair in Cologne the next spring. This was announced by Katharina C. Hamma, Chief Operating Officer of Koelnmesse, at a press conference.

There will also be a new special show in the trade fair segment garden care: in addition to the previously announced focus on soils, turf, fertilisers, substrate and plant maintenance, the IVG Power Place Green will be installed and will be played on by several exhibition returnees. This special show complements the bundled exhibition format which was introduced in 2017 with the IVG Power Place Akku and the Smart Gardening World. These two special exhibition areas have grown by 50 per cent compared to the previous year. In total, the Spoga+Gafa exhibition area has grown by 5 000 m² to 230 000 m². "Already 98 per cent of the area is fully booked," announced Hamma. More than 2 100 exhibitors from around 60 countries are expected.

In total Hamma drew a positive conclusion from the new changes which were introduced last year. "Something is happening at the Spoga+Gafa," she said. "The green industry has noticed. We have noticed."
