Massbuild expands into Kenya with Builders

The South African DIY and building materials chain Builders is expanding into Kenya. The retailer has announced the opening of a store in The Waterfront Karen shopping centre in Nairobi. Boasting a retail area of around 10 000 m², the store will also include a garden centre.

Opening the store in Nairobi is expected to boost expansion into East Africa. It is the ninth Builders outlet outside South Africa. The retailer is also represented in Botswana, Mozambique and Zambia.

With its distribution channels Builders Warehouse, Builders Express, Builders Trade Depot and Builders Superstore, Builders forms the Massbuild Division of the South African retail group Massmart.
