Lucien Hardt, co-founder of Edin, passed away on 1 July 2019.

Lucien Hardt has passed away. Hardt co-founded and was the force behind the Europe-wide network Edin, which operates as a platform for the building materials trade and industry. Prior to that, he spent more than two decades at the helm of Euro-Mat, the building materials retail cooperative that he built up. Lucien Hardt was regarded by the industry as a visionary. He embodied the philosophy of reliable cooperation of market players in the building materials and DIY sector across Europe in a special way, using his talent for bringing people together to further this. Hardt demonstrated this ability at the Build Forum 2019 on 4 and 5 June in Dublin.

Lucien Hardt would have been 61 years old at the end of the month. He passed away on 1 July 2019.
