Second Quarter

Home Pro expands primarily through same store sales growth

03.08.2018

The Thai DIY store chain Home Pro reports a sales income of THB 15.44464 bn for the second quarter, an increase by 4.34 per cent compared to the same period last year. The increase was mainly driven by positive same store sales growth, according to the quarterly report.
Compared with previous years, Home Pro growth rates are currently relatively low. The company explains this with the fact that expansion of the Thai economy has not been fully reflected in household purchasing power due to high levels of household debt.
In the second quarter, the company opened a new Home Pro S store and a regular Home Pro store. As of June 30, it operates 82 Home Pro stores, five Home Pro S format stores, twelve Mega Home stores and six home Pro stores in Malaysia. In the remaining second half of 2018, the company will focus solely on expanding the HomePro S business, particularly in Greater Bangkok, where purchasing power is expected to remain strongest.
