Flügger has had a “challanging start” to the year 2019/2020

“Declining sales for outdoor paints in May and June resulted in a challenging start to the financial year,” says Flügger CEO Jimmi Mortensen.

Flügger, the Danish paint manufacturer and trader, has started its financial year 2019/20 with a decline in sales. In the first quarter (May to July), sales to the amount of DKK 514 mio lay 3 per cent below the respective previous year's value.

"Declining sales for outdoor paints in May and June resulted in a challenging start to the financial year. This is particularly the case in the Nordic markets, which are quite stagnant. In Poland and in our export markets, we are seeing moderate growth," CEO Jimmi Mortensen explains in a comment on the quarterly figures.
