Construction commences for Bauhaus store no. 18 in Denmark

The 18th Danish store of the Bauhaus chain of Germany is currently being constructed in Gladsaxe in the Copenhagen region. Mayor Trine Græse attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the store, which is scheduled to open in autumn 2019. It will have a retail area of 12 500 m² and employ around 150 people according to Mads Jørgensen, the Danish regional director of Bauhaus. Among other things the building will have a green roof to retain water during heavy rain and a photovoltaic installation.
