China and Asia at the start of the second day

Asia and China were on the agenda of the 7th Global DIY Summit in Dublin at the beginning of the second day.

"China is global leader when it comes to digitalisation," the China expert Pascal Coppens said about the original mobile-first country in the world.

The second day of the 7th Global DIY Summit in Dublin started thematically with a focus on Asia and China. In this sense, Andreas Kerschner from the Alibaba Group gave an impressive insight into the ecosystem which this group has built up within a period of 20 years.

The China expert Pascal Coppens made the speed at which consumer behaviour is changing in China clear to the astonished participants. "China is global leader when it comes to digitalisation," he said about the original mobile-first country in the world. An example: mobile payment is currently being replaced by payment using facial recognition.

The almost 1 000 congress participants made use of the previous evening for networking. Unlike in previous years, no Lifetime Award was presented this year.
