Bricofer has 89 stores across Italy and operates 28 Self stores.

The Italian DIY store operator Bricofer is taking over the Bricorama stores in Spain. The news was reported by the industry service Ferretería y Bricolaje and is based on internal information communicated to Bricorama employees.

Together with its Spanish subsidiary, French chain Bricorama was acquired at the start of 2018 by ITM Équipement de la Maison, a subsidiary of the retail group Les Mousquetaires and operator of the sales channels Bricomarché and Brico Cash. In October it was then announced that the ten Spanish Bricorama stores were to close.

Bricofer has 89 stores across Italy. In early 2018 the company took over its competitor Self with 28 stores. It also operates six stores under the Ottimax logo. The acquisition of Bricorama is Bricofer's first foray into foreign markets.
The company belongs to the purchasing organisation Arena, which was established by Bricomarché and the German retail group Hagebau and has other members in Europe.
