Sales of Philippine home improvement chain AllHome contracted slightly in the third quarter as new lockdowns led to shortened operating hours for its stores. Net sales for the period totalled 3.402 billion Philippine pesos (PHP, EUR 59.59 mio). The company statement did not give comparative figures, but a previous financial statement shows that AllHome made PHP 3.471 bn (EUr 60.79 mio) in sales in July to September 2020, implying a slip in turnover this year. For January to September 2021, AllHome's sales grew 22 per cent to PHP 10.125 bn (EUR 177.34 mio).
"The third quarter of this year saw a reimplementation of the ECQ and MECQ (modified enhanced community quarantine) lockdowns, as the country experienced the highest Covid-19 infection cases since the pandemic started last year. Despite this, AllHome stores remained open, operating on shortened hours," the company said.
"The pandemic has made operations very challenging. However, we managed to properly navigate the challenges to our operations and remain resilient," Benjamarie Therese Serrano, AllHome president, said.
AllHome opened five stores as of end-September and plans to open more for the rest of the year.
